Catch up!

Ok, so the last week has been well a slacker week!
But I will start this post with an update about how bad the roads were.  Being from MT I would like to say that I am use to the snow. The roads were horrible. I was going 40 the entire way into work. It was a nightmare.  ( Would you please take two seconds to make it a safer place for people like me on the road)

Where was I..... Oh yeah...

So, the week. I  spent a lot of time cooking at night and getting ready for my friend Robin to come in. I even BAKE!!!! As many of you know this is not my thing. I made a chocolate flowerless cake that had a hint of pomegranate liquor in it. I even made it look pretty.

I also went out with the ladies from work! These ladies are wonderful. They have really made me feel at home, and always greet me with a smile.  So after having a wonderful cocktail with them I decided to bring in a chocolate cake for the people at work. ( I am not going to lie, but I needed someone to be my taste panel. ) Dont forget if it is in my house I would eat it. NOT A GOOD THING!!!

So after my late night week ( some nights I did not go to bed until 2 and was up at 5. Oh that reminds me of the days of college.)

Robin came in Friday night. After picking him up from the airport we rushed home to have dinner.  I made him a ginger currant chicken served with a wild rice and asparagus.  As a starter, we had a cheese tray. It rocked.

Ok funny story for you. Remember that I told you I have no table, well lets just say my dinner once again looked better than my seating arrangement. But at least it was a good topic starter or more of a laughing moment.

After catching up over a wonderful bottle of wine, I was beat and ready for bed.

The next day we were off to find breakfast. We went to Muddy Waters. I had a cider and a killer hollandaise. I will just tell you that there is no calories in that what so ever.

After feeling like we could pop we decided to check out the museum. We first had a major stumbling block of who was going to drive or were we going to take the bus.
Robin drove.. ( I am so happy I love being the passenger. )

We finally got there and as we were walking up to the museum....  there may have been a random snowball fight before than.  We checked out the sculpture garden!   I am not going to bore you with all of the details of the museum, but I will say it reminds me how creepy artist are. ( Me included) The dark twisted thoughts we have and how we turn it into art is kinda scary. So here are some pictures of the adventures.

After our great museum adventure we decide to go for ice-cream.  Robin had some issues with the parking. I am going to have to laugh that we actually park farther away than we would of been if we would of walked from the museum. I really wanted to have all of the flavors  in one cup!  But as we all know not going to happen. So I got two and they were killer. The place makes their ice-cream fresh every day.  YUMMY!

So after ice-cream we went back to the house for a rest period and deciding what to do next. We decided to go to a bar an listen to some live music. Before than, we had a pizza from my fav pizza place. Yes, Robin did have some of a gluten tards crust and he liked it. We may have had a little fun with the camera first!

We check out this club that had killer live music.  Sorry the video are not the best! But I will say I had a wonderful cider!

So then there was Sunday! We got up late and enjoy a nice drive around the lakes before we were off to the airport. We did stop at the Mall of America. Yes I hated it! It was like a rat race to park!  To tell you the truth I never knew that people would drive like it is the end of the world to get into the mall. Well after the parking issues we finally made it inside. We walked around for a bit and than it was time to head to the airport.

So after a killer weekend it was back to work! I am not going to lie but the week just seemed uneventful so nothing to report on.

My next week include a little more entertainment but not much more! I made a killer dinner of Mussels and pasta on Sunday and went for a run and swim! I may have been out of frustration of laundry! ( all I will say is take out your dam laundry when it is done) ( It took me 6 hr to do laundry) After running three miles and swimming 1000 meters I was so tired and felt like jello, but had the energy to start my newest project!

Other than swimming and running more this week it was uneventful! I felt like I hit a wall with everything. I am struggling to be motivated and move forward. Things at worked seemed to just stop on the upper-ward trend. I felt I was on the unproductive train and got nothing accomplished!

But I did make a killer dinner.. Pomegranate and goat cheese stuffed pork with a  mint sauce to top it off! YUMMY!

I also found a new thing that is yummy! Hot Chocolate with pomegranate liquor! I am  on a pomegranate kick I think!

So that folks brings us to Friday! I went out last night! It was kinda boring going out by myself! So I went for a walk. I walked up to Uptown and was bored so I walked back! I will say that I had wine and a killer cheese tray before retiring for the night! I also have blister the size of Texas on my feet today! Oh yeah got a killer massage on Friday too!

And today...........  I was planning on doing something in the killer weather. (57F) Oh yeah, I fell asleep in the sun for 5 hours. Nothing better than sleeping in the sun on a comfy bed with the birds chirping!

Than came the idea that productivity needs to happen, so I headed over to my coffee shop for dinner and work time!  ( This is where I am now, truly wine dazed and happy) Ok so I am running out of words. But here is a few last photos
